The Frederick County Hotline is one of four centers in Maryland to answer 2-1-1. Call 2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember phone number available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for information and referrals on health and human services such as basic human needs, physical and mental health, employment support, support for seniors and those with disabilities, support for children, youth and families, mobile crisis services, and suicide prevention and intervention services. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a national 24- hour, toll-free suicide prevention service available to anyone in a suicidal crisis that can be accessed from anywhere in the United States, 1-800-273-TALK. You can call the for many reasons such as the following to speak to someone who cares, if you feel you might be in danger of hurting yourself, to find referrals to mental health services in your area, or to speak to a crisis worker about someone you are concerned about.
