For Families In Crisis

Families are much more than groups of people who share the same genes or the same address. Ideally, they are a source of support and encouragement; however, this does not mean that everyone gets along all the time. Conflicts are a part of family life, and sometimes we need somewhere to turn for help.

Below is a list of phone numbers and services that you can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and a Call Specialist will be there to listen.  The conversations are confidential. Anyone can call, anytime, about anything.

2-1-1

Call 2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember phone number available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for information and referrals on health and human services such as basic human needs, physical and mental health, employment support, support for seniors and those with disabilities, support for children, youth and families, mobile crisis services, and suicide prevention and intervention services.  Find out more about 2-1-1. Simply dial 2-1-1 to get connected, and get answers.

2-1-1 is currently available from most cell phones and land-lines.  However, if you experience difficulties calling 2-1-1, you may access the identical service by calling 301-662-2255 or 1-866-411-6803 (outside of Frederick County).
