Child Care Choices  

  • Provides training and continuing education opportunities for prospective and current providers. 

  • Maintains a referral database which promotes providers' services and refers providers to parents in search of child care.   Update your provider record by downloading a questionnaire.  You will need Adobe Acrobat to view this file.  It is available for free at www.adobe.com.

 

 

  • Offers technical assistance  for start up or continued operation of a child care business including consultations on including children with special needs and on-site assistance for programs with children, age birth through four years old, who exhibit social, emotional or behavioral issues.

  • Maintains a Resource Room and Lending Library for the use of providers and parents.  Resources include a laminator, die cutting machine for cutting paper shapes and letters, book binding machine and art waxer.  We also offer an extensive library of books, videos, journals and resource kits on topics such as child development, health and safety, and curriculum. 

  • Administers the E-CARE program through a collaboration with the Frederick County Office for Children and Families.
