Child Care Choices' LOCATE counselors are available, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, to discuss your child care needs; provide information on selecting the best available care for your children; and supply you with referrals to providers or programs.

Child Care Choices maintains computerized records of all licensed child care centers, nursery schools, school-age child care programs, and registered family child care homes in Frederick and Carroll Counties.

When you utilize our service, you will receive referrals to child care programs that meet the criteria that you choose.  Our service can be delivered over the phone,  by mail, or by fax. If a parent chooses to receive information over the phone, there is no fee. If a parent chooses to receive the results of a search by mail, a nominal fee is charged, and a summary of services, fees and vacancy information is given for several providers that match a parent's criteria. Included with referrals is a brochure on qualities to look for when choosing a child care program.
