We have a lot of people counting on us every day.
The Mental Health Association (MHA) served 41,000 families, children & individuals in 2010:
- Provided children and families with 2,715 hours of therapy regardless of ability to pay
- Answered over 21,014 calls for support and referrals, of which 927 were suicide-related
- Conducted training for 25,278 personal body safety/child abuse prevention, bullying, internet safety, and stress and anger management for teens
- Advocated for 64 foster children in the Frederick Co. courts
- Presented 255 classes on early education topics to 3,034 child care providers
- Made 2,340 calls to homebound seniors, offering support and checking on their well-being
